TOY BREED RESCUE
Loree Schwartz coordinates Toy Breed Rescue
in the San Francisco Bay Area of California and
has been rescuing Shih Tzu and other toy breeds
since 1978.
Toy Breed Rescue is run by volunteers who do
everything from transporting the dogs to fostering
and adopting them into their forever homes. They are
funded solely by donations and adoption fees.
All rescued dogs are seen by a licensed Veterinarian. They are examined, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dentals are done when needed, groomed and wormed.
Loree also accepts some medically challenged dogs whose needs extend from orthopedic surgery to liver shunt surgery and more. Senior dogs are also received into the rescue program and are given a chance at the BEST REST OF THEIR LIVES!
Some of the breeds Toy Breed Rescue saves are Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, Poodles and others.
We are a 501c3 registered non-profit organization, located in San Jose, California, primarily serving the Northern California community.
Although the majority of our rescues are small breeds, we will consider placing any breed.
All animals accepted for adoption are provided the medical treatment and supportive care needed before they are sent to their Forever Homes.
We interview all potential owners to make certain that the adoption will result in a lasting and joyful friendship for all concerned.
We accept medically challenged dogs that others are not able to take and nurse them back to health. Without your support we couldn't do this.
Please make your tax deductible donation using the PayPal button below. We thank you in advance for your generosity!
